A US man has admitted to killing six people while working as a driver for the ride-hailing app Uber.
Jason Dalton, 48, pleaded guilty to murder in Michigan on Monday, just before attorneys were set to interview jurors for his trial, the Guardian reports.
Dalton admitted to shooting eight people at three locations around Kalamazoo, Michigan, over the course of a few hours in 2016.

"Yes, I've wanted this for a while," he said when a judge asked if his guilty plea was voluntary.
He pleaded guilty to murder and attempted murder which could result in a life sentence with no parole.
Six of the eight people Dalton shot were killed, including four women outside a restaurant. A father and his 17-year-old son were also fatally shot, the Guardian reports.
The survivors include a 14-year-old girl who was shot in the head during the restaurant shooting and another person injured in a residential area.
The motive behind Dalton's killing spree has baffled police. He was quoted as saying a "devil figure" on Uber's app prompted him on the day of the shootings.
But Dalton, a father of two, was deemed competent to stand trial last week and dismissed an insanity defence.
"There are personal reasons for him," defence attorney Eusebio Solis told the judge when asked why Dalton pleaded guilty.
In court Dalton did not explain why he shot the victims.
