Teens sentenced after putting semen in their teachers' food

Two US teens have admitted their guilt after tainting their teachers' food with semen.

The teachers, who worked at an Ohio school, had agreed to be the judges of a student cooking contest. However students were recorded putting semen in the food for them to eat.

Appearing in court on Monday (local time) one of the students told a judge where he got the idea.

"I was on YouTube and I saw video of a guy putting semen into food and serving it out," the now 15-year-old boy said, according to WBNS.

"I said, that would be a funny idea, a funny gag. So, I introduced it to my classmates and they thought it was funny.

"And I brought the bag of semen to school, and right before we were about to present our food that we were presenting to the class, I put it in the actual food."

Video of the incident showed a boy pouring liquid from a plastic bag onto the food.

"Is this made with goat milk or cow's milk?" one teacher asked.

"I'm not even gonna lie, it tastes really good," another said.

One teacher discovered later that afternoon her food had been had been contaminated. She had to go to the hospital for an STI test.

"I had no response, no words for how I was feeling, just sitting in shock. Why did this happen? Why did they choose me? I felt targeted, violated," she said in a victim impact statement in court.

"Some days the feeling of anxiety, worry and embarrassment would be small, and some days it suffocated me, and I couldn't get off the couch."

The 15-year-old, who has been adjudicated a juvenile delinquent, told the court of his remorse.

"I just want to say that I am truly and deeply sorry for what I've done," he said, beginning to cry.

"There's not a day that goes by that I don't regret what I've done. I just... I'm so sorry."

Prosecutors said another teen, 14, also brought a bag of his semen to school. He admitted to a count of assault on a teacher, WBNS reports.

Both have been sentenced to 30 days in juvenile detention and 100 hours of community service, and have been given suspensions from school.

Another six students charged in the case are due in court later in the week.
