After visibly reacting to Selena Gomez's emotional speech at the 2016 American Music Awards, Lady Gaga just had to hug her.
The 'Come and Get It' singer won Favourite Female Artist - Pop/Rock and was "the biggest rockstar of the night", according to Gaga, who met her in a dressing room after the show.
The pair share a warm cuddle for a photo on the 'Poker Face' singer's Instagram account, with a row of outfits hanging behind them.
"So dope I got to hang with the biggest rockstar of the night... the girl with the biggest prize of all - a big heart that she shares with the world," she wrote as the caption
Gomez wore a stunning floor-length red dress from Prada with sparkly dangly earrings, a ponytail with a centre part and smoky eye makeup; Gaga wore a white, studded leather country & western style jacket and pantsuit.
Before the pair embraced for social media, Gomez addressed the crowd in her first major outing in months after taking a hiatus for health reasons.
"I had to stop, because I had everything... and I was absolutely broken inside," she said.
"I don't want to see your bodies on Instagram, I want to see what's in [your heart]. I'm not trying to get validation, nor do I need it any more.
"If you are broken, you do not have to stay broken. And if that's anything, whether you respect me or not, that's one thing you should know about me - I care about people."
Could their new BFF status mean a Gaga/Gomez collaboration?
