Pop star George Michael died from natural causes, a newly released coroner's report reveals.
Two months after the singer's unexpected death during the Christmas holidays, British senior coroner Darren Salter said it was due to heart disease and a fatty liver.
Michael’s partner Fadi Fawaz made his thoughts on the ruling clear on social media, tweeting a photograph of himself and Michael with the words "f**k you", followed by "the truth is out."
Mr Fawaz and the rest of Michael’s family have previously expressed outrage over the leak of the emergency call, and rumours Michael had died of a drug overdose.
He later tweeted: "All the nasty comments, press and 999 were very cruel and unnecessary whatsoever, Now I hope to receive some real LOVE x."
In a statement, Mr Salter said: "Inquiries into the death of George Michael have been concluded and the final post-mortem report received.
"As there is a confirmed natural cause of death, being dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis and fatty liver, the investigation is being discontinued and there is no need for an inquest or any further inquiries. No further updates will be provided and the family requests the media and public respect their privacy."
Michael had a public history with alcohol and drugs, including arrests for possession of drugs and driving under the influence. The latter lead to a four-week jail stint for crashing his SUV into a London storefront in 2010.
