In what will be disappointing news for Kiwi hip-hop fans, Future has announced his Auckland show on Thursday night has been cancelled, as well as all remaining Australian tour dates.
In a release sent on Tuesday afternoon, a rep for the 'Mask Off' hitmaker said they "regret to advise that a very close friend of Future's has passed away, as a result he is rushing back to the USA to attend the funeral".
It was set to be the first ever New Zealand show for the Atlanta-based music rapper, who was set to perform on Thursday, September 28 at Spark Arena as part of his Nobody Safe Tour.
Promoter Live Nation says ticket holders will be entitled to a full refund, with the credit card used to purchase tickets refunded automatically. However, the refund process can take up to five days.
