Kiwi NFL player Paul Lasike has been brought back to the Chicago Bears active 53 man roster.

Laskie played the Bears' first two games against the Houston Texans and Philadelphia Eagles before getting waived on September 21 (NZT) following an injury to quarterback Jay Cutler.

The 26-year old was then signed to the Bears practice squad, sitting out the Bears next two games against the Dallas Cowboys and the Detroit Lions.

In a statement released by the Bears, they announced that Lasike is replacing injured receiver Kevin White, who has a fractured fibula.

Laskie was over the moon with the news, tweeting: "Too Blessed #HappyDay"

In two career games, Laskie made two rushing yards on one rush attempt.

Lasike was originally signed by the Chicago Bears after being cut by the Arizona Cardinals, who picked up the fullback as an undrafted free agent out of Brigham-Young University.
