AM roving presenter William Waiirua has unleashed a song that got hosts Amanda Gillies, Lloyd Burr and Michael O'Keeffe grooving on Friday morning.
As part of New Zealand Music Month, Waiirua was in Christchurch with singer-songwriter-producer Swiss and decided to come up with a ditty for the show.
During the interview, Swiss told viewers he believed the New Zealand industry was "different to a lot of other countries".
"Over here we try to support each other," he said. "It's real easy to reach out to other musicians here in NZ - it happens automatically."
However, Waiirua was quick to put the claim to the test, telling him: "Swissy, get on the beat, man" before launching into a country song that was dedicated to "all our viewers".
Waiirua even managed to get Burr and Gillies to "slap that thigh, do a tuck and fry".
