Emergency services have found the body of a man who went missing off the Wairarapa coast on Thursday.
A police spokesperson said on Friday the man had been snorkelling near Riversdale Beach on Thursday afternoon.
The diver was reported missing later that evening, sparking a wide search of the area.
Police, Police's Search & Rescue, Surf Life Saving, Wairarapa Helicopters, and Westpac Rescue Helicopter all helped with the search.
A police spokesperson thanked members of the public who also assisted.
"Police extend our condolences to their family and friends at this difficult time."
The coroner will investigate the man's death.
