Alice Wilkins

Alice Wilkins is a television reporter with 11 years’ experience at Newshub, currently based in the Auckland newsroom. After growing up on a farm in Southland, she moved north to study a Bachelor of Arts at Auckland University and then a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism at AUT.

Alice's first reporting assignment was in Christchurch for The AM Show, where she covered the Port Hills fires. Alice has a particular interest in crime and court reporting - she led Newshub’s coverage of the disappearance of British backpacker Grace Millane and the trial of Jesse Kempson, and the trial of Constable Matt Hunt's convicted murderer Eli Epiha. 

In 2022 she travelled to Birmingham to cover the 22nd Commonwealth Games, and to London, Belfast, and Cardiff as part of Newshub's coverage of the death of Queen Elizabeth III.
